This talk will present how Zooniverse came to be a platform in two parts: one part composed of bespoke projects in a range of disciplines from astronomy to ecology to the humanities, and another part called the Project Builder, which enables anyone with a web connection to build their own project. This talk will trace my own involvement in and development of the humanities program, using some of my own research questions in the arena of early modern English literature as a case study.
