Keith Hampton will discuss the role of new information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the structure of people’s social networks and will present early results from his e-neighbors study. The e-neighbors project is a longitudinal study of personal support networks and an experiment with four Boston area communities of how new ICTs can be used to build social capital in neighborhood settings.
