This workshop will explore strategies for building the strongest possible focus for collaboration on the Connected Digital Economy Catapult (CDEC). Its success depends on business, industry, and university centres of excellence defining a clear conception of the converged world of the Internet, and related media, information and communication technologies, particularly with how it connects with the creative sectors of our digital economy. The impetus of this workshop is the need to join thinking across related networks of individuals often from different sectors.
This workshop is being organized by the Oxford Internet Institute in collaboration with other departments at the University of Oxford as one of a set of workshops in an ESRC Research Seminar Series on ‘Digital Policy: Connectivity, Creativity and Rights’. The workshop will connect faculty associated with the Seminar Series with associates from business and industry within the Future Internet Systems Group (FISG), the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), and RCUK Digital Economy projects.
