Panellists will reflect on ethical challenges encountered in the context of digital research/digital ethnography and how they overcame any hurdles by sharing their approaches.

This is the second of two OxDEG (Oxford Digital Ethnography Group) panels of three researchers reflecting on ethical challenges encountered in the context of their digital research projects. The panel will be of broad interest to anyone interested in the role of ethics in qualitative research on technology, media, and the digital and to other researchers using qualitative and/or digital ethnographic methods in their own work.

The panellists are:

Professor Marina Jirotka (Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford), Dr. Meropi Tzanetakis (Department of Sociology, University of Essex), Timea Suli (Department of Social Policy, University of Oxford)
