Library

All members of the University are invited to use our library for research and study. We hold books and journals relating to the Internet and other information and communication technologies, as well as to social sciences more generally (eg sociology, economics, political science, and law) and research methodology (including statistics). Our holdings are searchable via Search Oxford Libraries Online (SOLO).

Visiting the library

The library is located on the ground floor of the Oxford Internet Institute at 1 St Giles, Oxford OX1 3JS.

The library is open Monday to Friday (09.00-16.50) during Term and Vacation. It is closed on all public holidays, as well as during Easter week, and the week between Christmas and New Year.

Library users have access to computer terminals and WiFi (Oxford Wireless LAN). Photocopying, printing and scanning services are available (7p for A4, 10p for A3). Library users must comply with copyright law and with Oxford University Computer Usage Rules and Etiquette. Food and drink must not be consumed, and mobile phones should be turned to silent. The library and toilet are both on the ground floor and are wheelchair-accessible. Ramp access can be provided at the St Giles entrance to the OII.
